Ivo Nikic lives and works in Warsaw. In 2003, he defended his diploma in painting at the Warsaw Academy of Fine Arts in the studio of professor Jarosław Modzelewski.
His range of work includes paintings, photography, installations, objects, videos and actions in the urban space. He is interested in cityscapes, corporality, music, garbage and aesthetic scars. Since 2001 he has been co-creating the Szuszu group. In 2006 he was an Artist-in-Residence scholarship holder in Bern, Switzerland.
Ivo Nikic has participated in numerous group and individual exhibitions in Poland (including at the Center for Contemporary Art at Ujazdowski Castle in Warsaw, BWA Zielona Góra, Studio Gallery, Galeria Arsenał in Poznań, and the Focus Lodz Biennale) as well as abroad, including at Humboldt Berlin, the Bat-Yam International Biennale of Landscape Urbanism in Israel, Rotor in Graz, and at Tokyo Fashion Week. In 2014, he held a scholarship from the Minister of Culture and National Heritage of the Republic of Poland.
